šŸ’ŖPower-Ups

Power-Ups are special abilities that players can obtain during a match around the map which provides them an advantage in wining the game.

How it works

  • Single Power-Up - You can hold only 1 Power-Up at a time. This means that if you hold 2 charges of Double Jump and you collect a Haste, the Haste will replace the Double Jump.

  • Activation - Held Power-ups are activated by pressing the ā€œEā€ Key or Left Mouse Click.

  • Respawn - Once collected the power-ups disappear and will take some time before they respawn again.

  • Picking Dynamics - When a Player picks a Power-Up it instantly replaces any other Power-Up they have picked before UNLESS it's an active Power-Up with a duration. In this case, the active power-up gameplay effect should play out as intended for its duration and at the end of it the last power-up they picked is selected.

Example of picking up another power-up during an active Power-Up is in effect

  • Player has Haste effect active

  • During the Haste effect, the player collects Metamorphosis Power-Up

  • Haste remains active until duration is over

  • When Haste is over the player Power-Up icon changes to Metamorph

- Another slightly special case is when a Player has an aimable Power-Up (has 2 stages: inactive and aiming), they initiate aiming and then they pick another Power-Up. In both stages the Power-Up is instantly replaced by the ones that was picked, but if the Player was aiming, they are interrupted and go back to inactive status but with the new Power-Up selected.
